Terms of service

Who we are

Trags, the hosted service at trags.ai, is operated by Trags AS (org. nr. 937 877 978), Norway (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Trags syncs your memories across devices and gives you a web dashboard to browse, edit, and search them, including hosted recall. The Poppy CLI is separate software, licensed under Apache-2.0 and governed by its own license, not by these terms. You can use Poppy entirely locally without the hosted service.

Your account

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secret, and for activity that happens through them. If a key leaks, revoke it in the dashboard.
• You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

• Store or distribute content that is unlawful in Norway or in your jurisdiction.
• Store other people’s personal data unless you have the legal right to do so.
• Probe, overload, or circumvent the service’s security or rate limits, or access other users’ data.
• Resell or white-label the service without our written consent.

Your content

Your memories are yours. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the service (sync, dashboard, recall). We do not use your memories, the embeddings derived from them, or your usage data to train or evaluate any models or benchmarks, on any plan, free or paid. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Fees

Trags has a free tier and a paid plan. The free tier lets you sync up to 1,000 memories to the cloud at no cost. Trags Pro removes that limit for $20 per month (USD), billed monthly, or $200 per year (USD), billed annually. Pro lifts the memory cap subject to fair use: hosted recall and other server-side features carry per-account rate limits that keep the service fast and prevent abuse. Poppy, the local CLI, is free and unlimited on your own machine on either plan.

Trags Pro is sold through Polar, our merchant of record. Polar hosts checkout, handles billing, and collects and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT as the seller of record for the transaction. You can upgrade, manage, or cancel at any time from the subscription page or Polar’s customer portal. Cancelling stops future charges and keeps Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial periods unless required by law.

Availability

Trags is early-stage software. We work to keep it reliable, but we offer no SLA and no uptime guarantee. Features may change, be removed, or break. Keep local copies of anything important; if you use Poppy, your memories already live on your own machine.

Intellectual property

The service, its code, design, and the Trags name and logo belong to Trags AS. These terms give you no rights to them beyond using the service. The Poppy CLI is available under Apache-2.0, which governs your rights to that software.

Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost data or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, and where reasonable we will warn you first. We may also discontinue the service, in which case we will give you notice and time to export your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably belong to the ordinary courts of Norway. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
